Salivary Glands
The above picture shows the parotid gland, outlined in red, which the probe is pointing to. It is the largest and most easily visible of all of the salivary glands. Cutting away the skin of the jaw and neck is all that should be necessary to find this gland.

submandibular gland
the submandibular gland lies near the jaw line, inferior to the other two salivary glands. it is smaller and resemble almost a grape-like shape, with many individual bumps sticking out. this is the most fragile salivary gland and is easily ripped.
