Pancreas
To find the pancreas, you will need to push a lot of stuff out of the way-- the stomach, small and large intestines. It is located attached to the posterior wall of the cavity. The pancreas is a glandular organ, so it will look very much like a gland-- covered in a thin translucent film, almost like a bag. It is to the right of the probe in the left photo and the probe is pointing to it in the photo on the right.
In the picture below, the red circle is the tail of the pancreas, the purple the body, and the turquoise the head. The part that is being pulled by my fingers is part of the duodenum.
Pancreatic duct
The pancreatic duct is a duct that connects the pancreas with the common bile duct, and that connects to the pancreatic ampulla, which then empties out to the duodenum.
it is simple to locate. it looks like a vein that sits on top of the pancreas, as pointed in the picture with the arrow, it lies straight through the pancreas on the top.
